Defence Sunday is a national opportunity for Anglican churches to pray for and support the members of the Australian Defence Force, their families, and the chaplains who serve alongside them.
Anglican chaplains serve alongside Australian Defence Force personnel in Australia and around the world—during ordinary working life, training, deployment, separation from family, personal difficulty and times of crisis.
They provide pastoral care, spiritual support and a trusted presence to people from every background, whether or not they hold a Christian faith.
